After a rush of white-ball cricket over the last month, the domestic schedule now makes space for September’s intriguing final four rounds of the County Championship, with much still to be decided in both divisions.
Some of the bowlers will be tired after a long season, but that’ll partly depend on where they are with their personal bonus targets! If you’re five or 10 wickets short of your target with three games to go, you might well find that extra gear to net you a cool few thousand. We joke about it on the circuit but individual bonuses do make a difference.
