WITH one eye the Ireland Test on July 24th, Sam Curran is hoping that a recall to the England ranks in time for the Ashes is still a possibility.
On Saturday the comeback began, as he built up some much needed match practice with a steady eight overs for last season’s Surrey Championship winners Weybridge, who were taking on this year’s title contenders, East Molesey.
Weybridge, who boasted a line up that also included Sam’s brother Ben of Northants CCC, and New Zealand international Tom Bruce, struggled to contain Andrew Westphal.
