THE PROFESSIONAL Cricketers’ Association (PCA) is urging county chairs and CEOs to prioritise the welfare of players ahead of a vote on restructuring the domestic game from next season.
After consultation meetings with the counties, the PCA revealed that a majority of male county cricketers favour reducing the number of Championship games played from 14 to 12 and want to cut the Blast schedule to help ease the number of back-to-back fixtures.
