KENT BATTER Ben Compton is currently averaging 80.75 from his five innings for Sevenoaks Vine in this year’s Kent Premier League.
His highest score this summer is the 118 not out he scored against Lordswood last month, helping his side to a nine-wicket win and sharing an unbroken stand of 232 with skipper Luke Schlemmer.
Compton, who has made four County Championship appearances for Kent this year, scoring 114 not out against Northants and a half-century against Middlesex, has turned out for Sevenoaks whenever he’s been able to over the last few seasons.
