ASK ANYONEat Benwell Hill what Paul Nicholson has done for the club and the list is likely to be as long as their arm.
Nicholson aka ‘Nicko’ is the club’s longest-serving captain, second-highest run scorer, has the most dismissals, and has now added the coveted accolade of making the most appearances of all time for his beloved club.
The now 45-year-old first stepped out onto the grass at Denton Bank as a 14-year-old, and 461 appearances later, has his name etched in the club’s history books – if it wasn’t already.
