THE CHESHIRE County League is marking its 50th season with a match against MCC followed by a celebratory dinner where the guest speaker will be former England and Glamorgan off-spinner Robert Croft.
A Cheshire County League XI, captained by Oulton Park’s Danny Leech will take on an MCC side captained by Cheshire white-ball captain Sam Perry at Toft CC on June 19.
The league’s conception came about in 1975 after Macclesfield and Cheshire captain Fred Milett set about unifying Cheshire cricket, which as the time saw clubs from the county playing in different competitions ...
