Ben Charlesworth is hoping the best is yet to come in his Gloucestershire career after what he describes as a “breakthrough” 2024 summer.
The 24-year-old, who hit a hundred in defeat to Derby in the season opener last week, has been with the county for seven years having made his debut at 17, yet only last summer did he make his maiden first-class century, 126 against Leicestershire – which he followed up with a career-best 210 against the same opposition, as he ended the season with 723 runs, averaging 48.
