County Championship reaches climax as counties dare to dream

The One Day Cup and The Hundred might be dominating the schedules, with thoughts also starting to turn towards the Ashes which start in Perth on 21 November, but that does not mean the county game is dormant.
With three rounds of the Championship cricket left, the matches starting on 8, 15 and 24 September, it is all still to play for.
Surrey are in their customary top spot and are yet to lose a game as you can see from our tables on page 31, but that does not mean they can be anointed champions for the fourth successive time just yet, even though two of their remaining games will take place...
