BRAZIL’S LAURA Cardoso was officially recognised by Guinness World Records for recording the best bowling figures in a women’s T20l after returning the extraordinary figures of 9-4against Lesotho in Botswana on April 9 of this year.
Her full figures were 3-2-9-4, as Brazil beat Lesotho by 189 runs. She became the first player – male or female – to take nine wickets in a T20 International.
Her official Guinness World Records certificate was presented on Friday evening by GWR adjudicator Will Munford at Women’s T20 Finals Day at The Oval.
