SKIPPER Tom Cant is aiming to lead a resurrection at Northumberland after they finished bottom of the Eastern Division last year without a win on the board.
Four defeats and two draws from six three-day games in 2018 was a disappointing campaign for all concerned but Cant has already identified the perfect remedy for that – a win against Bedfordshire in their Championship opener.
Bedfordshire were the only other club in the division to finish last season without a win and present the perfect opportunity to kickstart the season, according to captain Cant.
