As Jos Buttler swatted Marco Jansen onto the balcony of the hotel at Old Trafford during Manchester Super Giants’ demolition of Welsh Fire last week, he surpassed Kieron Pollard to become the all-time leading run-scorer in T20 cricket.
Buttler went on to launch Jansen’s next two deliveries for two more sixes, serving a reminder – not that one was needed – of the supreme ball-striking ability that has seen him become the short-format’s most prolific batter.
