In February I travelled to Cambridge to attend the third Cricket Research Network Conference, an academic initiative featuring cricket research projects, ably fronted by the historian and journalist, Raf Nicholson. The day comprised a feast of 20-minute presentations on a range of topics, with women’s cricket featuring prominently.
