Dewald Brevis may have only turned 22 back in April, but he has managed to pack a lot in to his so-far extraordinary career.
The South African has been playing for Hampshire in the T20 Blast and was due to stay on to continue his red-ball education in the County Championship until called up by his national side for the upcoming Test series against Zimbabwe alongside now Hampshire teammate Lhuan-dre Pretorius.
Back in May, Brevis wasted no time in announcing his arrival in English cricket, smashing 68 in just 32 balls – including six maximums – in Hampshire’s opening day win over Essex.
