THE DAY after experiencing a heart-breaking two-wicket loss to Middlesex at Lord’s in a memorable match which kept spectators gripped throughout, Kent captain Daniel Bell-Drummond is in phlegmatic mood.
“It was bittersweet for sure, with the knock I played but there has to be a winner and a loser and unfortunately, we didn’t come out on the right side. It swung both ways, they bossed the first half of the game, we had an awesome second innings and then they played really well to chase the target down.”
