Keith Barker of Hampshire has been slapped with a 12-month ban after a positive test for a banned substance.
Barker, 38, has not featured for his county since an out-of-competition positive test in July 2024 which revealed traces of indapamide, which is used to treat hypertension.
Hampshire said there had been an “administrative error between medical professionals and Barker”.
UK Anti-Doping confirmed that Barker had been given a 12-month suspension – after he accepted a violation of two of the ECB Anti-Doping Rules – backdated to 3 July 2024, so he can play again from 4 July this summer.
