Kyle Jamieson’s previous Test was against South Africa at Mount Maunganui in February 2024 and a couple of weeks later Ollie Robinson’s also played his last Test before his own two-year hiatus, against India in Ranchi in February 2024. Jamieson’s absence has been largely injury-related and he has been a regular on the T20 circuit but Robinson’s banishment has been because he fell out of favour with the new regime.
