JOE Denly is out to make the England number three slot his own – after patiently bidding his time to take part in an Ashes series.
The Kent man was England’s top scorer in their dismal first innings display against Ireland at Lord’s before he was unfortunately run out by his captain Joe Root in the second innings with just 10 to his name.
