ANGELO Mathews didn’t hold back in labelling his Sri Lanka side ‘schoolkids’ after they suffered a tenth straight ODI defeat to South Africa and went 2-0 down in the five-match series.
On Wednesday, for the second match in succession, Sri Lanka were unable to set a competitive total with the bat and the Proteas cruised to victory.
The hosts had been bowled out for 193 in the series opener as Kagiso Rabada (4-41) and Tabraiz Shamsi (4-33) did the damage with the ball despite Kusal Perera’s 81.
