Liddle makes a big dent in Surrey’s bid

GLOUCESTERSHIRE tore through Surrey as they cruised to a 147-run victory in their Royal London One-Day Cup opener.
Captain Chris Dent (75) and Gareth Roderick (74) got Gloucestershire off to a flyer at the Bristol after George Hankins was dismissed early doors by Rikki Clarke for a duck.
Benny Howell (21) and Ryan Higgins (29) provided respectable scores in the middle order but Gloucestershire limped to a total of 235 following a tail-end collapse at the hands of Tom Curran and Morne Morkel.
