VIRAT Kohli may no longer be heading to Surrey this summer but in teenage all-rounder Will Jacks they already have the ideal replacament.
Surrey were runners-up in both 2016 and 2017 but suffered back-to-back defeats to open things up this year before chasing down Gloucestershire’s 282-6 at the Oval on Wednesday for a six-wicket win.
Powerful 19-year-old Jacks muscled a maiden hundred – 121 off 100 balls – in just his third first-team appearance, even stylishly bringing up his century with a six down the ground, one of his four maximums.
