PAKISTAN paceman Umar Gul announced his retirement from all forms of cricket this week – in order to push through an application to sit on his country’s Cricket Board. The 36-year-old bowler represented Pakistan in 47 Tests and 130 One-day Internationals (ODIs), and was an important member of the 2009 World T20 winning team.
