Ashes winner Steve Harmison says it would ‘break his heart’ if James Anderson DIDN’T follow in Stuart Broad’s footsteps and retire after this Ashes series.
Anderson, 41 today, is England’s record wicket-taker but is facing a crossroads in his glittering Test career having taken just five wickets for England during this current series with Australia.
The Burnley Express yesterday publicly ignored the clamour, insisting he “has a lot more to give”.
But it hasn’t stopped old pal Harmison, the 2005 Ashes hero, from delivering an emotional plea for Anderson to leave the big stage on his own term...
