HEAD coach Richard Dawson has paid tribute to the role of Miles Hammond in Gloucestershire’s impressive T20 Blast campaign.
The 22-year-old lefthanded batsman has 208 runs to his name, at a healthy average of 26, as Gloucestershire close in on a play-off place from the South group ahead of last night’s clash with Middlesex.
Hammond also has an impressive strike-rate of 166.77, having hit 29 fours and nine sixes in eight innings, taking much of the pressure off opening partner Michael Klinger.
