Essex pay price for the return of fans

THE weather may not have been great, but the return of fans to County Championship matches across the country this week marked a significant milestone for cricket.
With a maximum of 25 per cent ground capacity allowed, the numbers were not huge.
Covid safety measures, with various different regulations set out by local councils at each venue, also made attending games far more complicated than normal.
