Kent land a ‘coup’ in Renshaw, says chief

DIRECTOR of cricket Paul Downton reckons Kent have landed a coup in signing Matt Renshaw.
The Australian Test batsman has agreed to play the first two matches of the County Championship and the duration of Kent’s Cricket’s Royal London One Day Cup campaign, subject to regulatory approval.
Renshaw, 22, starred for Somerset in last year’s division one campaign, averaging 51.30 in ten matches, including two centuries in his opening two matches against Worcestershire and Yorkshire.
