THE third edition of the Pakistan Super League began in Dubai yesterday but one former great believes the three matches in Lahore and Karachi at the conclusion of the event could be among the most significant in his country’s history.
Zaheer Abbas, the ex- Gloucestershire star and former ICC president, was a significant figure as international cricket returned to Pakistan for September’s Independence Cup.
That followed the staging of the PSL final in Lahore earlier in the year – a match that featured England’s Dawid Malan.
