MOVING with the times was Sussex’s goal for the winter, according to coach Mark Davis, and that has been made clear by the county’s recruitment heading into 2017.
While international superstars Ross Taylor and Vernon Philander will be the headline names at Hove, the signings of Stiaan van Zyl, David Wiese and Laurie Evans could be just as valuable in giving Davis flexibility to his side.
Evans will be used across all three formats, but it is the all-round ability of South African duo Wiese and Van Zyl which particularly stands out.
