THERE has been something slightly artificial about the nature of the 2020 season – and now the pitches are getting in on the act too.
Hybrid pitches are being widely used in the T20 Blast – their use in first-class cricket is still outlawed by the ICC – and, by and large, their presence has gone unnoticed.
