Sam lands a new deal at Derbys

DERBYSHIRE have handed a two-year contract extension to pace bowler Sam Conners. Conners, 21, is now tied to the county until the end of the 2022 season. He is keen to repay the club’s faith in him and he said: “I feel like my game has progressed a lot over the last two seasons, and I’m really pleased to be staying in this environment, where I think I can keep developing. “I’ve enjoyed the first-team cricket I’ve played so far, and I’m looking forward to getting more opportunities in the near future.”
