THERE was a time when playing Australia A was akin to taking on the second best side in world cricket.
Take the team who took to the field for the one-day series against Australia, England and Zimbabwe as part of the 1994/95 tour Down Under.
Captained by Damien Martyn, the team included Matthew Hayden, Merv Hughes, Justin Langer, Darren Lehmann, Tom Moody, Ricky Ponting and Paul Reiffel.
