SAM NORTHEAST is understandably excited about his move to Hampshire (TCP, February 23).
The former Kent captain believes there are a lot of good counties and that English cricket is in a great state.
But many England supporters would find this claim to be baffling.
There is a big elephant in the room…didn’t our national team just get beaten 4-0 in the Ashes?
To be fair, Sam is not the only person to be guilty of this as cricketers often come out with paeans of praise which have little relation to the facts.
