Captain Jim can’t put Wind up Hants

JIMMY ADAMS scored his highest one-day score in 18 months but couldn’t prevent his Hampshire side from slipping to a six-wicket defeat to the Windward Islands in the West Indies Regional Super 50 competition.
Captain Adams smashed an impressive 83 as his inexperienced Hampshire team were bowled out for 200 in 48.2 overs at the Kensington Oval.
And despite three wickets for Fidel Edwards, the Windward Islands cruised to victory in 36.2 overs thanks to knocks from ex-West Indies internationals Kirk Edwards (71no) and Andre Fletcher (53).
