Use TV to check on all dismissals

WITH not just one, but two of the England team given out leg before wicket in the first innings of the Melbourne Test, when TV replays showed that both James Vince and Dawid Malan had nicked the ball onto their pads, surely it is time for the umpire to check, both that the ball was not a ‘no ball’ and that the batsman has not hit the ball, before responding to an lbw appeal.
While it seems odd that neither Vince nor Malan asked for a review of the umpire’s decision, I suggest that such checking should not depend on such a request.
