I AGREE with your correspondent Graham Shaw. I attended the final match of the season at Taunton and Middlesex employed the same tactics as they had done at Surrey.
I am surprised they were not deducted a further two points for such time wasting, actions which led to adverse comments from the crowd.
Any decision about possible reversal of the penalty decision should have been known before the end of the season. To do so now would have been unfair on Somerset who may well have used a different strategy had they known this was likely to happen. Middlesex got their just desserts a...
