Staying on: Saif Zaib

ALL-ROUNDER Saif Zaib has lived every young cricket fan’s dream by signing his first professional contract at Northamptonshire.
Zaib, 18, has made six first-class appearances for Northants and has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Wantage Road until the end of 2018.
After joining the Northants Academy in 2013 Zaib, who bats left-handed and bowls orthodox spin, made his List A debut against New Zealand in 2014, aged 15. He also claimed 6-115 against Loughborough during a pre-season friendly earlier this year.
