WE at Durham DITCH THE POINTS, now find out from our meeting with Gordon Hollins (Chief Operating Officer at the ECB) that Durham’s points deductions for the coming season were made between September 15, 2016 and September 28, 2016, which by chance was just after Durham had beaten Surrey to secure survival in Division One (or so we all thought).
The ECB deducted Durham 45 points from their 2016 season and relegated them to Division Two, but then dealt Durham a double blow, by issuing further sanctions for the coming season.
