JOE Weatherley has had a busy week, signing a new Hampshire deal before agreeing a one-year loan at Kent.
Weatherley, 20, signed a new deal that will keep him at the Ageas Bowl until at least the end of the 2019 season having made his debuts in all formats last season.
The batsman’s prospects for 1st XI cricket on the south coast this summer seemed slim, though, following the arrivals of Australian George Bailey and South African ‘Kolpak’ Rilee Rossouw.
