There’s no place for Labuschagne

AUSTRALIA have left Marnus Labuschagne out of their 18-man preliminary squad for the World Cup and their upcoming tours of South Africa and India. The former world number one Test batsman has featured in 30 ODIs since his debut in January 2020 but averages only 31.37 with seven scores of fifty or more. Despite his omission, national selector George Bailey has insisted that Labuschagne has a future in one-day cricket for Australia.
