In this Sunday’s Cricket Paper (09/07/23)

For the second time in as many series, England look set to be heading into Sunday of the Headingley test with the Ashes hanging by a thread.

Taha Hashim, Jo Harman and James Wallace will be giving the latest from the men’s Test at Headingley, as England desperately hope to avoid going 3-0 down for the first time in an Ashes series since 2001.

They will be hoping to do what the women’s side managed, and Georgie Heath reports on England’s Ashes win in front of a packed crowd at The Oval.

Things are going much better from an Aussie point of view and Mel Farrell pays tribute to Steve Smith, playing his 100th Test at Headingley.

In domestic matters, we’ll have match coverage of the T20 Blast quarter-finals and the latest from the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

And ahead of the upcoming showdown at Edgbaston, Darren Stevens relives his Finals Day experiences.

Last, but definitely not least, Nicholas Brookes looks ahead to the start of Major League Cricket, the latest cricketing experiment in the United States.

And they’ll be plenty more packed into the paper, out as always on Sunday!
