Ted Dexter was a true all rounder. Not only in the cricketing sense, but in the breadth of his talents and interests.He played 62 Tests, scoring 4,502 runs at 47.89 and took 62 wickets at 34.93 with his lively medium pace. In his 327 firstclass games he made 51 centuries and averaged 40.75 and captured 419 wickets at 29.92.But he was also a fine all-round sportsman.
