I WAS thrilled to read that Gary Ballance is feeling refreshed and fully focused on the upcoming season with Yorkshire (The Cricket Paper, March 8), hopefully as a team looking forward to challenging on all fronts.
As a Yorkshire fan, I, as many, was slightly pessimistic about the season ahead and felt it could be a season of struggle and transition following a number of high-profile departures with huge 12-experience.
But with a recharged and confident Ballance contributing hopefully lots of runs and the enormous coup of signing Duanne Olivier to spearhead ...
