BALLET barres may not yet have been installed at Lord’s, but the MCC have joined the Royal Academy of Dance in promoting ballet and cricket in local primary schools under the banner of Project B.
The idea is to show school children the connection between sport and dance, and to challenge stereotypes of cricketers and dancers – more boys being encouraged to slip on demi-pointes and more girls emboldened to strap on the pads.
