Pace ace: Mark Wood bowling for England

MARK Wood spent the end of the summer chasing his own tail in a bid to earn a spot in the Ashes squad. Instead he has been forced to settle for a place in the Lions squad that shadows the Test side.
But the 27-year-old believes being out of the spotlight will give him the chance to prove his fitness to the selectors. After all, that’s the reason he wasn’t included in the Ashes squad.
