AFTER his first innings failure in the third Test at the Oval, Keaton Jennings may have just one final opportunity to prove his international career is worth persevering with and, should he fail to take it, Surrey’s Mark Stoneman could be next in line to try to fill the gap alongside Alastair Cook at the top of the order.
The fact that, by his own admission, England coach Trevor Bayliss has never actually seen the ex-Durham opener play is not necessarily seen as a hindrance to Stoneman’s chances.
