THERE are more and more girls and women playing cricket over here every time I come over. And I’m sure they would have only been motivated by the brilliant World Cup that’s just finished. The whole world was watching that game at Lord’s on Sunday.
It could be a catalyst for the women’s game both in the UK and abroad, with such a well-organised tournament, and such a close final. Either team could still have won it going into the last few overs, and you won’t see many better ODIs in the men’s or women’s game.
