Referee Laister’s a history maker

SUE Laister made history yesterday when she became the first female match referee of a professional domestic match in England and Wales.
Laister took charge of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy match between Northern Diamonds and Central Sparks at Emerald Headingley.
She forms part of a reshuffle to the ECB’s Match Referee Panel where five new appointments have been made.
Former England internationals Devon Malcolm and Dean Headley join Will Smith, Alec Swann and Simon Hinks on the Supplementary Panel.
