Myburgh steps down but keeps ‘Somerset blood’

VETERAN all-rounder Johann Myburgh says he has Somerset blood “pumping through his veins” after announcing his decision to retire from professional cricket at the end of the season.
The 37-year-old joined Somerset on a one-year contract in 2014, but quickly proved himself to be a hugely popular figure at Taunton both on and off the field.
In his five years with the club, Myburgh, who also turned out for Durham and Hampshire, has played in 28 first-class matches, scoring 1,332 runs at an average of 33.30, with a best of 150 not out, and taken 14 wickets...
