ALEX HALES insists he has not turned his back on redball cricket completely – and says he plans to return after the 2019 World Cup.
The 29-year-old signed a groundbreaking deal with Nottinghamshire back in February to only play limited-overs games until 2019 in a bid to cement his spot in the England team.
He has been included in England’s one-day squads to play Scotland and Australia next month, but Hales insists turning his attentions to white-ball cricket is not a long-term strategy.
