JACK Leach thought he’d made the Ashes squad when his phone rang on the eve of the party being announced.
Somerset spinner Leach has often been touted for an England call-up but Mason Crane pipped him to the post for the spot this time around.
The 26-year-old will however be heading Down Under, set to feature as the Lions head to Australia. But that call got his hopes up.
