NORTHAMPTONSHIRE suffered their first loss of the Second Eleven Trophy as they were soundly beaten after failing to contain a superb Lancashire batting display.
Brooke Guest and Luke Procter scored 110 not out and 134 respectively as the Red Rose motored to an impressive 336 from their 50 overs.
Northants, unbeaten in their three matches coming into the game, could only manage 169 in reply with their leg-spinners Mattie McKiernan and Matt Parkinson taking three wickets apiece as they dismantled the tail in spectacular fashion.
